Solution Provided | Definitive Feasibility Study and Detailed Design

Disciplines | Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Procurement, Estimating, Scheduling, Drafting

Carnac was engaged to provide options for the relocation of a large existing dewatering pipeline that traversed challenging terrain through operational mining pits. Carnac identified a "fit for purpose" solution that met the tight budget and short timeframe requested by the client. This was a multi-disciplinary project consisting of

  • Process engineering in the form of a system water balance and process flow diagrams;
  • Mechanical engineering in the form of hydraulic and water hammer calculations using Piping Systems Fluid Flow and Hytran; and
  • Estimating, material take-offs and scheduling for the clients' Capital Funding Expenditure Application.

Capital funding was approved and Carnac was engaged to undertake detailed design and planned implementation of the works for operations to execute.
