Carnac was engaged to review and provide recommendations on the design of containerised equipment for the purpose of inspecting and refurbishing Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) storage cylinders. The concept aimed to eliminate the cost of transporting used cylinders to major plants or depots by decentralising this activity. It was proposed that refurbished sea containers fitted with the required equipment would be placed in remote areas to save transport costs associated with transporting the cylinders from areas as far away as Alice Springs to the Kwinana site.

Carnac designed the general sea container layout, performed an ergonomic review of the sea container layout and provided a price for procurement and construction.
