Solution Provided | Rectified a kiln seal that had been leaking sodium aluminate. The seal improvements were to reduce the amount of material leaking, while also implementing further measures to collect any material from future leaks.

Carnac – Project Delivery Services Pty Ltd (Carnac) provided engineering services to develop a chute to collect leaking material. Carnac’s assessment included the following:
Laser scanning of the immediate area. This required high accuracy due to construction being in a congested area and in close proximity to rotating equipment;
Designing the chute with reference to pipe drawings and laser scan; and
Delivery of 4 detailed fabrication drawings.
