Solution Provided | Develop a line identification database for Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI), for the newly installed pipe lines.

Carnac – Project Delivery Services Pty Ltd (Carnac) provided engineering services to aid with issues a client has had with CUI issues, specifically in pipe lines. Carnac’s assessment included the following:
Performed an assessment of caustic corrosion cracking in pipeline against process service and conditions;
Developed a line database of all pipe lines, with reference to insulation thickness, line length and isometric drawing number;
Using client supplied information and Navisworks models all line services, specifications, diameters and operating temperatures were identified; and
From this database, Carnac produced a list of all lines requiring Heat Conservation and Personal Protection insulation.
