Carnac – Project Delivery Services Pty Ltd (Carnac) provided engineering services to review the management of the critical risk of a calciner gas explosion. Carnac’s assessment included the following:
A preliminary documentation review to develop suitable review templates;
Interrogation of systems identified in the preparation and planning stages, this work was all performed in situ;
A focused review targeting:
Causal pathway to calciner gas explosions;
Preventative and mitigating controls identified, and how critical are they;
Critical control execution activities; and
Critical control verification tasks.
Produced a report identifying the approach, areas of investigation, findings and recommendations.
