Carnac – Project Delivery Services Pty Ltd (Carnac) provided engineering services to investigate the live steam condensate system and whether a business case exists to re-commission the recovery systems. Carnac’s assessment included the following:
Reviewed original design information against operations;
Performed an Infield Assessment to identify construction or design anomalies;
Marked-up P&IDs with modifications to allow re-commissioning;
Developed sketches and quantities of modifications to allow re-commissioning;
Developed a unique SysCAD model of the original and modified system to quantify condensate savings;
Developed a cashflow analysis to calculate a NPV; and
Provided recommendations and a plan to progress to a concept study.
