Ammonium Nitrate (AN) porous prill is manufactured at the client's facility.
Carnac completed the initial design work to enable direct feeding of AN prill from the prill plant product delivery tripper conveyor to an AN prill despatch plants.
The design work was presented in a "Pre-Feasibility Study".
Work included:
- Design of a transfer chute to feed a new transfer conveyor from the existing tripper conveyor;
- Design a transfer conveyor to be installed on top of the stockpile seperation enclosure;
- Design a storage hopper with capacity of 55 meters cubed above the existing reclaim conveyor;
- Provide walking access platforms on both sides of the new conveyor;
- Incorporate installation of dehumidifier/heater system for the new hopper; and
- Provide a cost estimate to +25%.
