A war cemetery site is irrigated with water sourced from a superficial bore by submersible pump to maintain the site in a well-maintained and presentable state. The bore and submersible pump that was in use and their associated equipment were nearing the end of their design life and so required replacement or upgrading. In addition, the water treatment plant that removed iron and iron bacteria required modification to improve performance. Carnac was engaged to carry out the required works as prepared as a design and construct. Carnac’s engineering, drafting and project management personnel were responsible for:

  •  Detailed engineering design;
  •  Specification, selection and procurement of major equipment and materials;
  •  Project scheduling and site supervision of works;
  •  Preparation of “As Constructed” drawings and operational and maintenance manuals; and
  •  Commissioning and testing of equipment.

Carnac engaged a number of reputable and reliable sub-contractors to undertake various portions of the work, which included isolation and demolition of certain equipment, drilling and installation of new bore, and installation of new electrical and mechanical equipment.
