Our client commenced the development of the Plant Information Management System during 2015 based upon a Rockwell platform. Phase 1 of this project focused on bringing the infield instrumentation tags in to the client's Remote Operating Centre (ROC) in Perth and performing a "Data Binge" of the clients' assets. Carnac was engaged to perform work in Phase 2, after the ROC was successfully receiving data from over 2 million tags from 300 individual Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and a small amount form the client's Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems. This project focused on the reduction of process variability and controller input to the remote operations of the client's assets, using new data and the OSI PI toolset.
