Carnac were engaged by the client to identify, plan and resolve issues with the client's Calciners and to ensure future production is met and achieved sustainably.  

Carnac proposed a four (4) stage process for this project:

  1. Phase 1: Identification Review Performance and Failure Modes;

  2. Phase 2: Develop Strategy and Pathway for Rectification;

  3. Phase 3: Engineering and Planning; and

  4. Phase 4: Implementation and Maintenance Support.

Carnac utilised the extensive process and mechanical engineering experience with the team to:

  • Gather and analyse process data. In particular, identifying key operational and trend parameters that can be used to correlate calciner production performance;

  • Gather mechanical maintenance and equipment data; and

  • Analyse maintenance data for the calciners. In particular, review mechanical installed performance against actual performance and trend current maintenance performance against "best practice" performance.
